Momentum: An Entertainment One Company, would be a good distributor for our film as it distributes both independent and mainstream films. This means our independent film could be spread to more screens than if we used a distributor solely for independent films. Momentum has distributed films such as The King’s Speech, The Woman in Black, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Another distributor we could use is Axiom Films.

This distributor would be a good choice as
it specialises in independent films, but distributes them around the world, which means our film could be seen by a wide and diverse audience. It is based in London, which means British made films are their priority, and it is long established. It mainly distributes digitally over platforms such as LoveFilm and iTunes, meaning our production company would make more money from the film, as no physical copies would have to be produced. Half Nelson, starring Ryan Gosling was distributed by Axiom Films, and won an Academy Award in 2007.

Another possible distributor is Arrow Films. It is a UK-based distributor of classic horror, thriller, comedy and cult films. It distributes products on Blu-ray and DVD around the UK. This would be ideal for our film as it is based in the UK and focuses on distributing films of our genre. Their most recent film is, Lessons In Love (2016) starring Jessica Alba.
We would use Axiom Films as our distributor as it is based in the UK, so specialises in British films, but distributes around the globe. This would be advantageous to our film as it would be seen by many people. In addition, our company wouldn't have to pay the cost of having physical copies produced.
